Order Set Usage

TREKK Licence for use of Order Sets

We encourage you to use the materials under this licence, but with a few conditions you must follow. TREKK grants a worldwide, royalty-free, non-commercial*, non-exclusive licence to use the materials for education, research, and in hospital and health care facilities, subject to the below conditions.

You may: use, copy, distribute the materials for research and education purposes, and adapt the materials to align with local hospital protocols without requiring any further permission from TREKK.

However, for this licence to apply, you must:

• Provide acknowledgement of TREKK as the source of the materials, and where possible link back to the TREKK website and this licence.
• Not remove any logos, proprietary terms, or copyright statements (including any references to this licence) on the materials.
• Contact TREKK at trekk@chrim.ca to report that you are using these materials, including whether your institution or hospital is adapting the Order Sets for internal protocols. TREKK is happy to see materials under this licence being used, and your confirmation of same helps us to better understand their reach and impact in academic and hospital settings.

The terms of this licence are important, and if you do not comply with them, this licence will terminate automatically. The terms of this licence may also be subject to change, so we recommend that you review them from time to time.

The materials are provided to you “as is” and no endorsements, warranties, representations, obligations, and liabilities, whether express or implied, of any kind are given under this licence. This includes, without limitation, warranties as to title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, absence of latent or other defects, accuracy, or the presence or absence of errors, whether or not now known or discoverable. TREKK and the University of Manitoba shall, to the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event be liable to you for any damages, losses, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of this licence or the use of the materials. Use of the materials is solely at the discretion and risk of the user.

If you would like to modify or translate any material under this licence beyond alignment with local hospital protocols, or do anything else with the materials not permitted by this licence, please contact trekk@chrim.ca to request permission directly from TREKK.

*Note: for the purpose of this licence, use by hospitals or health care facilities, regardless of whether they are publicly or privately funded or operated, shall be deemed to be use for non-commercial purposes.
