Emergency Medicine gets full department status at U of S

Following years of work, it's official. Effective June 23, 2016, the emergency medicine department at the University of Saskatchewan was granted full academic department status. According to Dr. Stempien, "the overarching theme is to improve emergency care across the whole province by being able to better enhance our research, better teach, and be able to expand across the province in the secondary centres." Congratulations to all whose efforts have made this possible, including our TREKK partners Dr. James Stempien (TREKK site rep) and Dr. Brent Thoma (CanadiEM partnership).
