TREKK and IWK Partner to Create New Parent Tools

IWK Health received funding from a generous donor to produce three animated videos aimed at teaching parents about their child’s illness in conjunction with the TREKK network and the IWK Parent Video Project Steering Committee.

Based on input from parent and health care providers from urban and rural areas IWK Health produced three videos addressing common emergency presentations impacting Canadian children and adolescents. Topics selected for the three videos included: Febrile Seizure, Hand Foot Mouth and Procedural Sedation. Each video is available in English, Arabic, Mi’kmaq, and French.
