On behalf of Dr. Terry Klassen, Network Director, Translating Emergency Knowledge for Kids (TREKK), we are pleased to announce that Dr. Douglas Sinclair took on the role of Chair, Board of Directors for the TREKK Network, starting January 2019.

Mr. Dallas Smith, Senior Account Manager at the Royal Bank of Canada, fulfilled this role for 7 years and we would like to thank him for his valued contributions. He will continue to provide his expertise to TREKK in the role of the Past Chair.

Prior to taking on the role of Board Chair, Dr. Sinclair worked as an emergency physician at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He joined St. Michael’s as the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer in January, 2010 where he held the responsibility for four clinical programs, medical affairs and leading the corporate agenda for quality. Earlier in 2018, Doug relinquished his executive role and returned to Nova Scotia to continue to practice both adult and pediatric emergency medicine in a greater capacity.

We are looking forward to what Dr. Sinclair will bring to our Network in his new role!
