Managing trauma patients in Community EDs

Check out this new whiteboard video on Trauma Care for Community Emergency Departments, created by the University of Toronto Trauma & ACS, Sunnybrook Hospital, SickKids, and St. Michael's Hospital. The video was primarily developed by Dr. Alun Ackery, Dr. Suzanne Beno, and Dr. Kealin Wong. 

Based upon an identified need for trauma education resources, the three doctors sought to create a unique video that delivers high yield information on community trauma management and transport. This project was a collaborative effort with input from a diverse group of community emergency physicians and academic pediatric and adult trauma care providers and covers important commonalities and differences when caring for diverse patient populations. Of note, the video briefly references Ontario specific trauma services, however, the core content of the video is applicable to trauma care across Canada.
