Needs Assessment

We now have more than 2000 surveys from across the country as we begin to wind down survey data collection for the needs assessment. A big welcome to the three new sites that have started data collection over the past two months – Western Memorial Hospital (Newfoundland), Saint John Regional Hospital (New Brunswick) and Miramichi Regional Hospital (New Brunswick). Please visit for more information on all TREKK partner sites across Canada.

As one phase comes to a close, another begins! Needs Assessment qualitative data collection will kick off this summer. The Needs Assessment Team will visit 8-10 TREKK sites across Canada (selected for maximum variation). During these visits, more detail and insight will be gathered about the health care professional and health care consumer information needs and preferences that were highlighted in the survey responses.

For any needs assessment questions, please contact Lauren Albrecht, Needs Assessment Coordinator, at (780) 492 9682 or, Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 4:30 pm (Mountain Standard Time).

Visit the Needs Assessment web page for more information about this important first phase of TREKK.
