Research by Emergency physician and scientist Dr. Amy Plint of the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) is improving the way we treat wrist buckle fractures in children. Her discovery has allowed children to return to function sooner, and improves patient, parent and health outcomes.

Dr. Amy Plint is a TREKK board member, the TREKK content advisor for bronchiolitis, and chair of the Pediatric Emergency Research Council (PERC).

TREKK Blog Series
We have embarked on a 12-week blog series highlighting pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) focused Cochrane summaries and new content in the Evidence Repository. This week, we highlight a Cochrane summary on the effects of asthma educational interventions in children who have visited the emergency department. Read our first post here!

New resources available
Our research librarian and content advisors have been working hard to pull together the best evidence for the treatment and management of pediatric conditions in the emergency department. This includes clinical practice guidelines and pathways, overviews of systematic reviews, systematic reviews and key studies.
We have 3 new Evidence Repositories available on trekk.ca this month, including:
