On July 1st, 2014 Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) came into effect. Under this new legislation, the existing TREKK mailing list is covered by implied consent but a formal process for re-subscription will follow in the weeks to come. Please note that you that you can remove yourself from the TREKK e-Update mailing list at any time.


Thanks to everyone who gave feedback via survey on the new look and content of our TREKK resource respository. We've taken your suggestions and comments and incorporated them into the updated design of We appreciate your patience as we continue to add content and pediatric emergency resources throughout the site. Please be sure to check back frequently to see what's new.


Looking for pediactric emergency podcasts? Check out the selection from Dr. Anton Helman and the team at Emergency Medicine Cases featuring talks on pediatric orthopedics, syncope, gastroenteritis, head injury and more. TREKK will be working with Dr. Helman over the coming year to produce more podcasts relating to pediactric emergency medicine.

June 25th, 2014 - Emergency medicine researchers at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and the Ontario Neurotrauma Foundation have launched recommendations aimed at treating children and teens with concussions.

Our nationwide needs assessment asked over 890 families across Canada what their information needs and preferences were when taking their child to an emergency department.
