The final TREKK site has officially completed survey data collection for the Needs Assessment phase. Overall, we collected more than 2,850 surveys from 32 TREKK sites, which was no small feat! Thank you to all of the site representatives and to our TREKK Coordinators for your hard work.
We are also nearing completion of the qualitative phase of the Needs Assessment. Eight sites were purposefully selected for maximum variation and we have successfully conducted focus groups and waiting room observations in the EDs at six of these sites: Western Memorial (NL), Carbonear General (NL), Bethesda General (MB), Stanton Territorial (NT), Leduc Community (AB), and Northeast Community Health Centre (AB). Two more sites in Ontario (Stratford & St. Mary's) will complete data collection in November.
We look forward to providing a full report of the Needs Assessment findings in early 2014.
