The Needs Assessment survey data collection ended on July 31. Thank you so much to everyone involved. It has been a great success with over 2,700 surveys collected from health care professionals and consumers! We want to welcome North East Community Health Centre (Alberta) and Leduc Community Hospital (Alberta) who started and completed data collection in these last few months. This brings us to 31 sites who have collected needs assessment surveys. Visit http://trekk.ca/partners for more information on all TREKK partner sites across Canada.
We have also begun the qualitative phase of the Needs Assessment by visiting two sites in Newfoundland (Western Memorial Regional Hospital and Carbonear General Hospital) in June. It was a wonderful experience for the Needs Assessment team to work side-by-side with the local TREKK Coordinator, Debbie Harnum, to conduct three focus groups and complete 15 observations. Check out the TREKK blog for more about our work and travels in Newfoundland. We are currently scheduling qualitative data collection visits to six other sites selected for maximum variation; more details to come in the next e-update.
