The Alberta Children’s Hospital opened in Calgary in 2006, becoming the first free-standing pediatric facility to be built in Canada in more than 20 years. It is used by patients from birth to age 18 from southern Alberta, southeastern British Columbia and southwestern Saskatchewan.
Alberta Children's Hospital is a Pediatric Emergency Research Canada (PERC) site. Its PERC coordinators work closely with the emergency departments at the following TREKK sites to collect Needs Assessement data and build our TREKK network:
