CanadiEM Blog: TREKK Series | DKA

TREKK and CanadiEM have come together to translate the latest guidelines in pediatric emergency medicine. The fourth post in this blog series is on diabetic ketoacidosis. Join Drs. Ashley Lubberdink, Kaif Pardhan and TREKK DKA content advisor Dr. Sarah Reid, as they translate the TREKK Bottom Line Recommendation and run through the case - a 7 year old boy brought into the ED after being more fatigued than normal, suffering from abdominal pain, nausea and increased thirst.

Procedural Pain Bottom Line Recommendation now available in French

Children very often experience multiple painful procedures in the course of their emergency department visit, as a part of investigation and treatment. Minimizing procedure-related pain should be a routine part of emergency department care for children, which is why we're happy to say our bottom line recommendation on procedural pain is now available in both English and French.

You can find both versions here, as well as more resources on procedural pain.
