CAPHC Webinar: Taking Stock: Usable Evidence for Procedural Pain in Children

Join CAPHC for their first webinar of 2015 on January 14th at 11am (EDT).

Procedural pain continues to be a significant issue for children in the hospital and in the community and was identified as one of TREKK's priority topics for knowledge mobilization.

The goals of this webinar are to:

  • Review the current state of evidence for preventing and/ or ameliorating procedural pain in hospitalized children or healthy children receiving painful procedures in the community
  • Describe efforts to effectively implement research evidence into practice using infant and toddler and school age and adolescent populations
  • Strategize how evidence can be made more usable for health care professional and parental care providers.

Mobilizing Science Knowledge & Research in the 21st Century: An NCE Sharing of Best Practices Symposium

The Marine Environmental Observation Prediction and Response Network (MEOPAR) is an NCE working to better understand and predict the impact of marine hazards on human activities and ecosystems and improve response.

MEOPAR will host a Mobilizing Science Knowledge and Research (KMB) Symposium for all NCE Highly Qualified People (HQP), their principal investigators (PIs) and staff. Non-NCE interested participants, practitioners of science knowledge mobilization, transfer, exchange and brokerage are welcome to attend.

Objectives for this conference include

  • Provide networking opportunities for NCE KMB/transfer/exchange/broker staff, HQPs and principal investigators
  • Provide KMB, transfer, exchange and brokerage training for all NCE HQPs
  • Educate NCE PIs about KMB
  • Share best practices, case studies, experiences with and resources for science-based KMB
  • Identify opportunities for the NCE science research community to contribute to the KMB literature in which they would not normally publish
